Two very important Chelsea players set to miss Leicester game – Potter gives injury update.
It might be looking like a difficult match for Chelsea this weekend as they are set to miss two of their most important player against Leicester City.
Since the return of Raheem Sterling, Chelsea have started winning matches again and in fact they have won at least two of their last three matches and this show an improvement with the return of the forward.
But now he will be rested again as a result of an injury leaving Chelsea to resort to other options they have.
Reece James is ill, which is a blow but in all honesty we were expecting him to be rested this weekend in any case. Raheem Sterling also has a hamstring problem, which is no surprise as he’s played a lot of minutes recently after coming back from injury.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will miss the game with a back problem – although he was unlikely to get minutes anyway.
As for N’Golo Kante, the answer continues to be “not yet” as the club medical staff look to turn over a new page and avoid rushing him back this time.
Overall, not too bad then. We expect Ruben Loftus-Cheek to come in for James, while Christian Pulisic and Mykhailo Mudryk will be competing to replace Sterling.
