The SW6 neighbours had been locked in negotiations over a permanent deal to take the 22 year-old England international to Craven Cottage this week.

Fulham are currently considering whether to table an improved offer for the Wandsworth-born wide man, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Bayer Leverkusen.

Hudson-Odoi, who rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia earlier this summer, is eager to leave Stamford Bridge permanently this summer.

The former Chelsea academy graduate, who has has scored sixteen goals in 126 games for the club, is understood to be intrigued by the prospect of remaining in London and reigniting his career in the Premier League.
