Perhaps it is a sad goodbye as Mason Mount keeps getting lesser and lesser games despite being fully fit and this is what many Chelsea fans do not seem to understand.
Mason Mount today did not get to play against Aston Villa and he stayed in the bench for the whole match and then just as predicted Chelsea lost again, could he have done anything to help the team if he had played?
After another poor result, after the rest of the squad had slunk off and he was well within his rights to do the same, Mount was the only player out to applaud the remaining fans at a drained and angry Stamford Bridge.
