RESPECT: Azpilicueta makes history with Chelsea with disappointing draw in the last match.

Azpilicueta has yet again made history with Chelsea as he played one of the most important games of his career and although this was a draw and a result nobody wanted he still managed to make the most out of it.

This comes as Azpilicueta became Chelsea’s leading overseas appearance maker.

The defender’s achievement is remarkable considering Chelsea are a club with a long and proud history of foreign players.

Azpilicueta’s appearance against Nottingham Forest makes it his 495th for Chelsea. Here are the current top 10 overseas appearance makers:

  1. Petr Cech 494
  2. Cesar Azpilicueta 494
  3. Didier Drogba 381
  4. Branislav Ivanovic 377
  5. John Mikel Obi 372
  6. Eden Hazard 352
  7. Willian 339
  8. Gianfranco Zola 312
  9. Eidur Gudjohnsen 263
  10. N’Golo Kante 262

With his sub appearance against Bournemouth on Tuesday, Azpilicueta moved level with Petr Cech in our all-time appearance list.
