Real Madrid coach Ancelotti defends poor form Vinicius Junior in Girona defeat; Here is what he said.

Real Madrid crashed against Girona yesterday and this is just quite good for Barcelona for the league.

Vini Jr again clashed with opposition players through the 4-2 defeat.

But Ancelotti said: “He got a goal and an assist.

“He was good, as always, but the team lacked connection. He has seen too many yellow cards for a player of his characteristics.”

On Nacho’s substitution, the coach explained: “He did his job and I changed him to bring on (Edouard) Camavinga to try to and make more inroads up the left wing. I have nothing to criticise him about.

“He wasn’t at his level, but neither was anyone else. Nobody played at their usual level.”
