Not 15 anymore; Chelsea’s crazy list of players to sell just keeps growing; Here are the new names added.
Todd Boehly is still adding names to the previous 15 player mentioned whom he gave an ultimatum to do what he said or risk getting kicked out of the club and the list only gets longer.
Aubameyang is on top of the list of these names and several other players as the club looks to build a new version of itself.
Matt Law, in his piece in The Telegraph today, outlines the scale of the task at hand by exhaustively listing every player who could be on the chopping block in the summer (it’s basically everyone apart from the players who joined in the last 12 months:
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was demoted from Potter’s Champions League squad, will almost certainly leave, while there are doubts over the long-term futures of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, Edouard Mendy, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and on-loan Denis Zakaria. Chelsea are not yet sure whether Inter Milan will agree to take Romelu Lukaku on loan for a second season.”
It’s quite the list, some of those will takers – it’s hard to see any teams being interested in some of the others however.
Some of those Chelsea fans would drive to the airport themselves, while others will likely incite a riot if allowed to leave.
Whatever happens, it’s going to be a uniquely spicy summer at Stamford Bridge – and we’ve said that a few times in the last few years!
