Moises Caicedo is set to complete his transfer to Chelsea from Brighton for a British record transfer fee of £115million.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Caicedo has agreed an eight year contract with Chelsea with the Blues having the option to extend for another year.

“Understand the agreement between Moisés Caicedo and Chelsea is for a contract valid until June 2031,” Romano reports.

“But the contract will also include an option until 2032, one more season.”

Chelsea are also closing in on signing Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia in a deal worth £55million.

Southampton rejected three offers from Liverpool for Lavia, the last which was a £45million offer.
