Lukaku: More problems brewing for Chelsea as Juventus ask Chelsea for more time to make transfer work
One of Chelsea’s top priorities this summer was getting rid of Romelu Lukaku – and they so almost managed it.
After battling with a broke Inter Milan for weeks, the Blues finally found a deal they could swallow to rid themselves of the striker once and for all. But when they presented it to him, he disappeared, with Inter unable to contact the player who had apparently been desperate to play for them all along.
Now the only escape route seems to be a move to Inter’s rivals Juve – but they are struggling to put together a package that Chelsea can accept, much as Inter did.
Their issue is that they need to sell Dusan Vlahovic, their own expensive striker flop, and according to Get Football News Italy, the Old Lady have asked Chelsea for more time to find a deal.
We’re not sure why they’re asking – it’s not like we have anyone else to sell him to at this stage.
