There has been many rumors linking the Barcelona star to Chelsea and he have made it an open secrete that he does not want to react or respond to these tipping points but not until they got too much and he has spoken.
Gavi yesterday expressed his desire not to leave the Catalans and join the English side anytime soon and this is a decision he is bent on
Diario AS which is an outlet based in Spain have reported that Chelsea had held talks with the Spain midfielder’s representatives over a possible move to the West London side over a possible move in the summer.
The 18-year-old midfielder was annoyed with Barcelona over their failure to register him as a first-team player in January and this could be the tipping point that prompted his desire to leave in the first p;lace.
Spanish journalist, Sique Rodriguez, however, shot down the reports, claiming that while Gavi could leave Barcelona if he remains unregistered, he has no intention of leaving voluntarily.
La Masia graduate, Gavi played his very first game in La Liga in the 2021-22 season under former coach, Ronald Koeman and has since become an integral part of Xavi Hernandez’s side.
In September 2022, Gavi signed a new contract with Barcelona, but the deal did not go through due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions.
In January, the Blaugrana obtained a precautionary measure from the court to register Gavi as a first-team player, giving him the No. 6 jersey.
His registration was overturned shortly after, as it was determined that Xavi’s side failed to file the paperwork before the transfer window closed on January 31.
The youngster is currently registered as a youth team player at Camp Nou, a situation that does not go down well with him and would become a free agent in the summer.
