There has been serious fears that Kovacic will be leaving Chelsea for Bayern in the Summer but this is not going to work anymore as Bayern will not be looking to sign kovacic as a result of several reasons such as…
Bayern have a lot of people on the radar now and they are not really looking to sign a midfielder but they are looking to strengthen their defense and also their attacking and Kovacic is neither of those.
According to Plettenberg, however, Bayern are not interested in Kovacic as it stands. They’ve got too many players in his position, and he’s considered “too expensive.”
That’s a problem we will run into a lot in the months to come, if even top teams like Bayern can’t afford to take on our cast offs.

Well unless things changed in the future we will be hoping Kovacic signs a new contract at Chelsea by the Summer.
